Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the needs of the future

Emma Lager is the new Group SHEQ Director at Ewellix. She has more than 20 years’ experience in the field and a long career at the Volvo Group where she held various quality and environmental related positions. We met with Emma to learn about her view on sustainability.

“Sustainability according to the UN is defined as “Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” I really stand behind this definition and for me sustainability has to be a given part of our business strategy. By providing our customers with energy efficient electromechanical solutions, we support them and society in the transformation towards electrification. In addition, we manufacture high quality products that lasts longer which reduce the overall resource consumption”, says Emma Lager.

“Sustainability also means being a responsible company wherever where we are present. In addition, it is our responsibility to secure that our suppliers act accordingly in their local context by ensuring that they follow the ILO conventions on human rights as well as the Ewellix Supplier Code of Conduct" says Emma.

“I look forward to contributing to the Ewellix sustainable journey together with present and future customers”, Emma ends.
