Purchasing Specialist, Sofia

Ewellix opened its newest and most modern manufacturing facility in Sofia, Bulgaria in 2020. In Sofia, our main products are telescopic pillars and actuators for industries within medical, automation, and material handling. With 200 employees, we are thrilled to develop an outstanding team of professionals in Bulgaria to join our multinational family.

What you will do

You will contribute to the company’s overall goals and strategy by delivering on the following main responsibilities:

  • Manage defined segmented commodities and cooperate in complete Supplier selection and approval process, including RFI/RFQ processes.
  • Drive sourcing initiatives in best cost country sourcing (BCCS), productivity, development of supplier base, single source reduction, lead time reduction, on-time delivery, and quality improvements.
  • Develop category strategy and ensure spending transparency for relevant categories
  • Develop negotiation strategies and lead negotiations with strategic partners and preferred suppliers to achieve aligned goals and objectives.
  • Ensure cooperation with manufacturing units‘ Supply Chain team regarding forecasting, pricing, and supplier OTD development.

Who you are

To be successful in this role you need the following qualification:

  • Purchasing experience – 3 years minimum in the manufacturing area.
  • Fluent in English with proven communication skills / German is an advantage.
  • Organizational skills – ability to prioritize tasks, manage workflow and work with multiple stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving ability/attitude.
  • Communication skills - Attention to detail – managing multiple tasks shall not compromise on attention to detail.
  • High degree in Machine or electronic engineering is an advantage.
  • Computer literacy – MS Office, PowerPoint, ERP knowledge.
  • Ability to travel abroad, driving license is an advantage.
